This blog post should be called the adventures of Laura and Jon. This couple had my heart the moment I saw them pull in my drive way. She ran out of the car. Startled me for a second when I saw Jon race out of the car to join her. Nothing could have changed my mind I wanted to be their wedding photographer and then they tell me how they met just a few months ago, in INDIA. So many miles away and surprising family with the news that they have found the one. And yes planning their wedding in only their style. Just a few months.
We knew their engagement session could not be basic. They wanted a fall look. So flannels in a 101 degree weather would have to do. They wanted scooters so she found a place in less than a day. And they wanted adventure. Oh how EASY it was to photograph this couple. I just can’t wait for their wedding! Thank you Chrissie with Chrissie Stuntz Events for sending me this couple. They are awesome!
Chase and Jackie engagement was so much fun! We captured their love at the super modern Fort Worth Art Museum. Chase and Jackie are truly stylish and a lovely couple. I LOVE what they wore for the shoot. They are definitely an awesome example of how to dress appropriately for your engagement shoot and how to coordinate outfits but not be too matchy. And anytime I get to capture cute adorable puppies is a plus for me. I am so thrilled they chose me to document their love. I absolutely adore their engagement shoot. And I cannot wait for their wedding just a few weeks away!
So I fell in love with Meredith over the phone. Yes that’s how this blog post is going to start. She said she had this emerald necklace that was her mothers and that she was going to have Protea flowers ( they are African Flowers that Nick had given her before) I had no idea what a Protea was but I was SOLD. I loved how she described her and Nicks relationship, the wedding plans everything but I still had no idea after this phone call what I had really said yes to. How uniquely AWESOME this couple is. How it was such a privilege to get to witness these two get married. Their wedding was the most ROMANTIC Ceremony EVER. No it wasn’t candlelight, or a beautiful sunset in the background( which I also love ) It was the words, it was the feeling. You had to be there to understand. With quotes from Edna St. Vincent Millay, Nora Ephron and Shakespeare being said left and right. I was in total LOVE. My heart was completely FILLED. It was something so beautiful that I hope I did it Justice. Lots of hugs to both of you!
One of my favorite pictures of this wedding is Meredith and her mother. There is a picture where Meredith is looking up and I think we all knew she was there. It was beautiful.

So there is a picture in the blog post that I would say describes Ivan and Leslie perfectly. It’s where I told them to face me and close their eyes. Leslie looked down and closed her eyes gracefully, beautifully. And Ivan closed his eyes as tight as he could. It’s a cute picture but as soon as it appeared in my screen I thought this is them! Leslie and Ivan got married at one of my favorite ceremony venues. Perkins Chapel its such a timeless venue. Brittany Timmerman Events did an amazing job as the wedding planner and Valerie and Valerie were the masterminds in designing a beautiful and elegant wedding. One of my most fond memories was Leslie father. Leslie father who was very quiet most of the wedding and at the end when I was preparing for the exit shot. He was standing there right by the elevators, he wanted to be the last to see his daughter leave. It was precious and so so sweet.
